One thing me and my hubby Victor have tried to start doing is "dating out of the box." What this basically means is we try to do things we wouldn't normally do on a date. Because our personalities differ so much its actually been pretty easy to come up with ideas. I love the arts, nature, fine dining, and dancing, and Vic is more laid back and likes watching movies and athletic fun... so we try to find ways to incorporate these things into our dates while keeping them fun and interesting. Its also good for opening your partners eyes to different things they might not try on their own. This week is my week (we'll talk about the calender system in a future blog I'm sure) and I'm stoked about seeing SonicVision at The Hayden Planetarium in NYC. My husband Victor has never been there! (Can you believe that? He's lived in NY his whole life) Its basically a light show developed by Moby in conjunction with MTV2 that depicts how various artists see their music and is projected on the planetarium's dome. It features music by Moby, Audioslve, Coldplay and others, and I'm so excited about it. Even though this genre of music is more my cup of tea, one thing's for certain we both LOVE music, so I'm sure Vic will appreciate the experience and enjoy the show. Enjoying a date doesn't always have to be something you and your partner always enjoy doing together. Try dating out of the box--you won't know what you like until you try it. Never be afraid to introduce your partner to different things...you are there to enrich each others lives. I'm definitely looking forward to Go-cart racing at Velocity 17...one of Vic's pics!!!
